Recently, Microsoft’s online marketplace has put an end to the Instagram app for the Windows 10 Mobile platform
. This means that from now on users won’t be able to access the Instagram app through their phone, although the desktop version is still there. Instagram is a photo and video sharing networking service, which was launched exclusively for iOS in the month of October of 2010. Later in the year 2016, the Instagram Windows 10
Mobile version also got released. The Windows 10 Mobile, released back in 2015 never gained that much popularity like the other Windows Mobile version used to get. In fact, the situation got even worse because since last October no upgradation had been done to the OS and the third-party app support had been kept on hold. Though the PC version of the app can be still seen in the store, right under the download button a message has been displayed saying, “app does not work on your device”, in case you try to download it from your Windows phone having the 10 Mobile version. There is no official announcement why Instagram
suddenly took this decision to leave the particular version. Interestingly Facebook, the parent company of the app has remained silent till now about this issue. However, it’s not totally a dead end for those Insta users out there. They can still access it by going to official website from Edge browsers.
