The upcoming “Battlefield V” game, developed by the studio EA dice, might have a “battle royale” style game mode similar to the massively popular games “Fortnite” and “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” or “PUBG.” This report is not at all surprising considering the popularity of the two aforementioned games.

The battle royale mode of these games follows a fictional scenario where 100 online players are dropped onto island maps where they fight to the death, scavenging weapons that they find scattered throughout the map. The objective is typical of the last player standing mode- to become the only survivor using whatever means necessary.

EA Dice’s implementation of a battle-royale mode in its “Battlefield” series will seem quite interesting where two sides – or teams – of online players have been seen to battle it out with each other to complete objectives.

“Battle royale” game mode has now complete domination over game culture, where everyone from celebrities to major game streamers to even children from ordinary households are playing either “Fortnite” or “PUBG”.

Before it was even finished, “PUBG” dominated the leaderboard for concurrent players on the Steam gaming platform as a “pre-release” game. “Fortnite,” available to play for free on PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS (and soon Android), has a humongous player base of 45 million players as well as three million concurrent users.

Given the popularity of these games, all game developers are now looking to include similar things in their own games. Earlier this week, the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” was reported to get a battle royale game mode.

“Battlefield V” is expected to be released sometime this year. As for which conflict the “Battlefield V” features, we can only speculate. “Battlefield 1” was set during the First World War.
