The rollout timeline of the Android 8.0 Oreo update has been revealed for various Samsung smartphones. As Samsung’s latest flagships – Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are coming with Android 8.0 out-of-the-box, other existing top-class series of smartphones from the house of Samsung will also enjoy this latest update to Android Oreo 8.0 version. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer has revealed a list of handsets that will receive the Android Oreo update.

So the much-awaited Android Oreo version is all ready to hit the Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphones, namely Galaxy A4, A5, and A7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The Oreo release date for Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2017) models are supposed to be on June 1, 2018, and for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, it will be 18th May 2018. Apart from these Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be updated to the Oreo version.

It is really exciting news for the users of these referred smartphones, yet they would be rather sad to know that the update of this Android version has been delayed. The earlier mentioned for Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2017) to receive the Android 8.0 update was on May 25, 2018, which has been postponed to June.

The dates for the update of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been shifted from the planned release of April 13 to May 18. The update of the 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S3 from Samsung was supposed to release on May 4. However, this has now been pushed to May 18 as well.

Earlier this week, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge showed up on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website, including all major variants of S7 and S7 Edge in the US, including Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and also the unlocked models. But Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 models did not show up there.

Even a few days ago, Samsung Russia started the release of Oreo to Galaxy A5 devices. Since it is not possible for Samsung to roll out Oreo updates to all the countries at the same time, as per the norm, the users in different countries will expect the Samsung Galaxy A-series update and S7 and S7 Edge update a few days in advance or a few days after the updates are rolled out in Turkey. It is assumed that users will definitely get the Oreo update for the referred Samsung smartphones very soon.
