In 2015, Twitter was introduced to Windows users in the Microsoft store for mobile and desktop. And now, Microsoft has announced that “Twitter’s new app for Windows 10 is better than ever.” This new app supports features that people on Twitter love and has been highly requested, including extended character limits to the Tweets, the Explore tab that finds topics significant to your interests, and the ability to bookmark Tweets that allows for reading later with additional features, like the night mode feature, that is to launch in the coming weeks and months.

With the leveraged support of Microsoft, the all-new Twitter for Windows 10 app brings the users a better, faster, and improved experience they’ve ever expected. This new app has been optimized for the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, which is focused on unique Windows features, including a reviving look and feel with taskbar pinning, push notifications, and share integration with Windows apps.

The new release prompts a commitment to Windows that has been long overdue and is part of a longer-term strategy to reach greater feature parity to all of our platforms. The all-new Windows app is built on open web standards, powered by the Microsoft Edge engine in Windows 10.

With the new app replaces previous Twitter Windows desktop and mobile apps. Microsoft encourages its users to download the new app for Windows 10 as the previous versions will no longer be available for download and no longer will it support starting June 1st.
