Microsoft has introduced the next-gen Surface Hub 2. It is dedicatedly designed towards inspiring collaborative computing works on the way to cope up with the requirements in changing work scenarios of present times.

The sleeker and agiler Surface Hub 2 allows people to connect and work together “regardless of location.” It sports a 4K+ 50.5-inch multi-touch display presenting a canvass for co-creation. It works on the combined power of Windows 10, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Microsoft Whiteboard, and Intelligent Cloud.

Surface Hub 2Microsoft’s standard Surface aspect ratio of 3:2 offers usable space for everyone to create and collaborate conveniently. The device can scale and adapt to any workspace by tiling up to four screens together in landscape or portrait. The company says that moving the device around the workspace is easier than its predecessor.

One of the features, tiling, lets four Surface Hub 2s align together to allow users to view multiple content pieces side-by-side. Ranging from a full view video call to PowerPoint and PowerBI, more applications can be easily made workable via tiling.

The multi-user sign-in feature is the highlight of the second-gen Surface Hub. This lets multiple users authenticate in one Surface Hub 2 workspace. Simultaneous access to teammates’ documents and ideas can be performed more subtly.

Other features include dynamic rotation to let you choose the best orientation as per content and the system of rolling stands developed by the company partnering with workplace expert Steelcase.

Microsoft will start testing the Surface Hub 2 with select commercial customers in the remainder of 2018 and will make the device available for purchase in the next year. Stay tuned to get more updates on the new workspace device.
