ASUS ROG Phone Unveiled at Computex 2018 With 3d Vapor-chamber Cooling and More

Republic of Gamers, an ASUS branch, unveiled a new ROG phone with a new lineup of gaming products on Monday. They revealed the phone and the new games at the For Those Who Dare event, which was held ahead of Computex 2018. Its 3D vapor-chamber cooling system makes the phone stand out. The main features of this phone are mainly game-centric. It will come with an ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensor, an AMOLED display with HDR visuals, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and an LMS response time.

The main highlight of the Asus ROG Phone is a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC revved up to 2.96 GHz and a gaming-optimized Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU.

The ASUS ROG phone comes with a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and response time. It also features a 108.6 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. With a massive 8 GB RAM, the smartphone will also feature a dual rear camera with 12 megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors and a front-facing selfie camera of 8 megapixels.

ROG also announced a new delta gaming headset which can be connected to the ROG phone and other smartphones using a USB Type-C port. The smartphone has scored 304183 in AnTuTu and is way ahead of the Xiaomi BlackShark, Samsung Galaxy S9+, iPhone X, and Razer Phone.

The list of features for this smartphone is endless. It runs on a 4000 mAh battery which promises 7 hours of Wi-Fi gameplay. The handset measures 158.8×76.2×8.6 mm and weighs around 200 grams. The inbuilt storage is supposed to be 512 GB.  It also features an optional TwinView Dock for dual-screen handheld mode, ASUS Aura RGB lighting and Aura Sync support, and ASUS HyperCharge direct-charge technology.

Asus has not yet said anything about its release date here in India but is expected to be launched soon.
