Huawei unveiled some more products, and the eLTE Discrete Spectrum Aggregation system, a flagship WDM product, and a simpler, more efficient IP WAN system at the world’s largest International Consumer Electronics and Communications Expo CEBIT 2018, held in Hannover.

With European and Latin American partners, Huawei sat for a discussion regarding the development trends and emerging requirements of optical transmission technologies.

Many industries lately have been experiencing hurdles with regard to backbone networks due to the rapid transformation of enterprise services and ICT convergence. Take instances like some enterprises have a large number of fiber resources and a robust infrastructure with limited services and insufficient network monetization.

In a way to deal with these challenges, Huawei launches its next-generation flagship WDM product, the Huawei WDM OSN 9800 M24, which features large bandwidth, a convenient self-service portal, flexible boards, low initial investment, and high integration.

Another system as introduced by the company for 4.5G-based, 5G-oriented eLTE Discrete Spectrum Aggregation (LTE-DSA) will provide energy to companies through fast mobile access, low latency, greater connectivity and reduced power consumption. The system aggregates discrete narrowband resources and can so achieve access with an end-to-end delay as low as 20 ms and a low power consumption at 0.15W.

ISPs are developing rapidly in Europe. With the explosive development of cloud data centers, they have increasingly high bandwidth requirements for backbone transport networks. – Renze Koning, Sales Director of Netherlands Tallgrass

Lastly, Huawei has also released an Intent-Driven IP WAN system which is being able to cope with the requirements for simpler and more intelligent WANs in the cloud-based transformation process. The system will come with large bandwidth and simplified network layers thus improving bandwidth use and maximizing the business value of WANs.
