The latest report adding to Apple’s efforts to bring its own video streaming service throws light on what we can expect. Alongside the multi-year content deal with the brand of Oprah Winfrey, the tech leader is also in deals with Steven Spielberg and Reese Witherspoon.

The Apple video streaming service will compete with the likes of Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. Apple would naturally want to be a leader in this market, and some of Recode’s recent reports are throwing light on its possible next moves.

Recode says that Apple’s video-on-demand service is available for free on its TV app. This is an ideal marketing strategy to provide content affordably to establish its own mark in the market as Amazon follows.

Recode also added that Apple could bring an all-inclusive subscription package with Apple Music, VOD service, and even Apple Care. The new VOD service will be focusing on pushing its web-based services toward users.

The third and last of Recode’s reporting says that Apple might sell subscriptions as a standalone product, like Netflix does. Despite being expensive, Netflix does provide the best content in video streaming presently.

Apple would want to top the bars set by Netflix and create its own bar. While it would take time initially to bring a compact content library, initial pricing is expected to be significantly less than Netflix.

Apart from Netflix and Amazon, Apple will further rival UK television services like NowTV. It is clear that many new shows are developing, and the tech leader has done well so far on the hush-hush!

There’s of course no info yet on when Apple will launch the service, but it is expected to start with the US, and then come to India.
