OnePlus 6 has its Red color variant starting to be sold in India from July 16. The smartphone has been available previously in the color options Midnight Black, Mirror Black, and Silk White.

OnePlus 6 Red Edition bears a metallic red body and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader matching the same color. It is notably different in terms of appearance and specs than last year’s OnePlus 5T Lava Red.

The device sports a 6.28-inch FHD+ Full Optic AMOLED display supporting 1080 x 2280 pixels with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 845, with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB or 256GB internal. The Indian market is getting the 8GB+128GB variant.

Regarding the camera, the OnePlus 6 Red Edition hosts a dual setup with the primary sensor of 16 MP Sony IMX519 with f1.7 aperture, and a secondary 20 MP Sony IMX371 sensor, both bearing dual-LED flash. The front camera is dedicated for selfies and Face Unlock, with a 16 MP Sony IMX371 sensor with f2.0 aperture.

It is a dual-SIM (Nano) handset running OxygenOS 5.1 based on Android Oreo 8.1, and a 3,300mAh battery. The phone measures 155.7 x 75.4 x 7.75mm and weighs 177 grams. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C.

OnePlus 6 Red Edition is being sold through Amazon.in and OnePlus.in at the price of Rs. 39,999 starting 12 pm IST today, which also marks the first day of Amazon Prime Day Sale. This means an Rs. 2,000 discount on EMI if you use an HDFC credit or debit card. This as well applies to other variants of the phone.
