Google’s new Android P is the latest buzz in the tech world since Thursday. Although there has been no clear hint for us to figure out what the P exactly stands for, the latest version of Android might be launched later this month, and we all can be finally out of the dark.

Evan Blass, a famous tipster’s tweet on August 2 possibly suggested Google’s plans for the new version of the software. The tweet contained an image of a calendar with the letter P within the square for August 20, which could be the day when the announcement will be made. It is to be noted that Google’s last update of the OS, Android Oreo, was revealed on August 21.

The initial introduction of Android P was done by Google in its annual I/O conference in May. At that time, despite no official statement on its future release date, the software had been made available in a developer beta. But Google has not immediately commented on this.

From the new version, we may expect new upgrades, new swipe gestures, more fluidity and even more improved notification features.

If we have drawn the right conclusion from the tweet, and if the tip actually turns out to be true, then we could know what P stands for by the end of this month. We can take our own guesses for the moment, based on the earlier version names. Since they are usually named after candies and treats, it could be Popsicle. But hopefully, we’ll find out soon enough.
