Amazon and Whole Foods Market started a new service today. It announced the launch of Amazon grocery pickup for prime members beginning in Sacramento and Virginia Beach. This new service will allow members of its Prime subscription service to order groceries on the Amazon Prime Now app and pick them up at Whole Foods without having to get out of the car.
Amazon Prime subscribers can now opt to shop from Whole Foods Market ranging through fresh and organic products like bakery, meat, dairy, seafood, floral and everyday staples and pick up their order in as little as 30 minutes.
Pickup from Whole Foods Market is a perfect option for customers who want to grab healthy and organic groceries at their convenience, all without leaving their car. – Stephenie Landry, Worldwide Vice President of Prime Now, AmazonFresh and Amazon Restaurants
This sort of pickup service as launched by Amazon is not the first grocery store or retailer to offer curbside pick-up. Amazon has been trying to lure Prime members to Whole Foods with exclusive deals and shopping conveniences.
In order to enjoy the new service, prime members need to place their order via the Prime Now app and choose the pickup option at checkout. Then, drive to Whole Foods and park in a pickup spot and wait for the Prime Now shopper to place the groceries into the car within minutes.
In addition to grocery pickup, Prime members in dozens of cities can enjoy ultrafast grocery delivery from Whole Foods Market. To add more fun to shopping anyone can use Alexa to add items to their cart whenever they think of something they need hence, eliminating the need for a paper shopping list or trying to remember what the family ran out of. Now shopping has become easy and fun!
