Galaxy Note series is one of the most innovative and popular smartphones on the market. The Note series started with the original Galaxy Note which was one of the first phablets in the market. While it wasn’t the first smartphone with a stylus, it is one of the only ones to have still stuck to the trend even today.

Over the years there have been many Note smartphones and many noteworthy ups and down for Samsung. The Note 7’s entry was quite catastrophic, and then bursting into flames incident gave the otherwise spotless in reputation, Galaxy Note, a bad name. Samsung managed to recover from the Note 7 incident quite smoothly with the launch of Note 8. Note 8 followed the same design as S8+ and housed dual rear cameras. The phone runs on the latest Android 8.0 “Oreo” with Samsung experience 9.0. Furthermore, the heart rate monitor has become a mainstay feature in the Note series.

Other than this, Samsung decided to go with a dedicated key for Bixby. However, this decision did not sit well with all users as some prefer Google Assistant over Bixby. The biggest attraction of the phone comes from an extended RAM of 6GB and an amazing 12 MP dual camera. Other than this, the cameras feature OIS and other features such as 4K video recording, telephoto lens and much more.

Note 8 comes with high-end AKG-tuned earbuds. Samsung’s decision to keep an earphone jack was well received and liked by the users. The earphone jack allows you to use the Note 8 AKG-tuned earbuds or any other pair of earphones you like. The phone’s S Pen brings many enhancements as compared to the previous pens.

S Pen for Note 8 has 4,096 distinct levels of pressure points. Note 8 comes with a port for USB-C type and can be paired with Samsung DeX, Samsung takes on the mobile-desktop computing environment. With many impressive features, the hype for the next model in line after the launch of Samsung S9 and Samsung S9+ has not died out. Given Samsung’s latest history, the company is known to add new features and improve the existing features.

Apart from the mainstay features, Samsung’s proprietary S Pen upgrades are the most awaited. The latest Note model has an S Pen with more than 4,096 distinct levels and support for Bluetooth. Apart from this, the general advancements and improvements in the UI and the S Pen UI are much-awaited. With many phablets in the market with various attractive features, Note 9 is worth waiting for.

With rising competition and impressive features incorporated by other phones, it will be fun to see what Samsung has planned.
