The year 2018 might just witness LG launch another V series smartphone – the LG V40 ThinQ at the later part of the year, possibly on November 16, 2018. With the launch of two premium budget smartphones this year, the LG G7 ThinQ and the LG V35 ThinQ, the soon-to-be-unveiled V40 ThinQ boasts of a triple camera setup on the rear side of the phone and possibly a notched screen, as per a report by MySmartPrice, validated by a first press source.

The upcoming LG V40 ThinQ with its set of very powerful cameras can compete with other tech giants such as the Huawei P20 Pro and with companies like Apple and Samsung which, too, are planning on including the triple camera setup in their products.

It is likely that LG would retain its trademark wide-angle lens feature in the upcoming launch, though it cannot be said for sure whether it plans to utilize a telephoto lens in the third module. This model might just don the feature of a front dual-camera setup which was last seen in LG V10; it is possible that this setup would feature IR sensor and 3D face recognition.

Leaked photos suggest that the phone could feature a glass rear side with mirrored finish coupled with fingerprint sensor below the camera.

It is also possible that LG might upgrade its display screen from OLED to P-OLED with curved edges in the upcoming smartphone. It might just sport a notch on the top, too, though it cannot be ascertained because in the leaked press render the notch appears to have been masked.

It seems like LG would make the placement of the buttons similar to that of G7, with the Google Assistant button on the left below the volume control and the power button on the right. Other features of the phone should comprise a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, a loudspeaker, a microphone and a 3.5mm jack.

People now have more than enough reasons to look forward to the unveiling of the new LG V40 ThinQ possibly on November 16, 2018.
