Samsung India announced Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy watch series for the Indian market a month ago but hadn’t disclosed the pricing details or availability. Today the company officially launched its wearables series with the opening price of Rs 24,990 for the 42mm variant and Rs 29,990 will cost for the 46mm variant. The watches are made available in three colors: Silver, Midnight Black, and Rose Gold.

Galaxy Watch

The Galaxy Watch features Samsung’s signature rotating bezel, an analog watch face, and an Always-On Super AMOLED display with a 360×360 resolution, covered in Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ for added protection. For additional sturdiness, the Galaxy Watch is also getting military-grade MIL-STD-810 certification. The smartwatch is powered by Exynos 9110 Dual core 1.15GHz processor. The coolest thing about the watch is its analog watch ticks and hourly chimes. The watch is also 5 ATM (atmosphere) water resistant, which makes it usable even in a shower or swimming pool. However, using the watch for scuba diving or other water-related sports is a strict no-no from the developers.

Samsung Galaxy Watch offers a perfect health experience with its new stress management tracker, which automatically detects high levels of stress and offers breathing exercises for the users to remain concentrated and focused. There’s also a new advanced sleep tracker which monitors all levels of sleep, including REM cycles, to help users adjust their sleeping habits and get the rest they need on their day. Not only does the watch help maintain proper health, but it also helps in fitness goals. Adding two new indoor exercises to the existing Galaxy Watch can now track a total of 39 workouts.

The Samsung Galaxy watch is to be available in the Indian market from October.
