Best Writing Applications

While some prefer to write on your computer, you cannot always take the computer wherever you go. Sometimes when you are away from home or work you have the time or you get some inspiration to write. So now it is easy to write online with the help of WriteMyEssayOnline. For that reason, I want to recommend the best writing applications for Android phones and tablets.

1. JotterPad

JotterPad is, without doubt, one of the best writing applications you can use. To make sure you do not lose your saved files, you can even synchronize them with cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. JotterPad believes in sharing great ideas, therefore it allows you to export and share your files in various formats such as DOCX, TXT, HTML, RTF, PDF and plain text.

2. is Writer

The iA Writer text editor offers editing functions such as font styles and lists and comes with a built-in dictionary. There are some other useful features, such as night mode, word counter, sliding gestures, Cloud Sync with Google Drive and Dropbox.

Once you have finished writing, you can see the document as a template in different sources such as Sans, Serif and Mono. If you have confidence in your file, you can export it in formats such as PDF, HTML, DOCX or plain text. Finally, you can connect your WordPress account with iA Writer and publish from the application.

3. Google documents

Google Docs is the G Suite writing application. In addition, your work is saved in real-time. The application allows you to create new files, as well as to edit existing Microsoft Word or Google Docs files. You also get some templates like a resume, letters, and articles that you can use.

The word editor offers many formatting options. Other useful options include page orientation, paper size, spell checking, word count, and being able to choose to share them via a shared link or by sending the file.

4. Microsoft Word

The most commonly used text processing tool on a PC, Microsoft Word, also has its application in the Play Store. As a result, you get most of the functions to which you are already accustomed. You can open a file from your device or service in the cloud or create a new one with the application. As in your desktop version, you can choose from a series of templates such as a magazine, newsletter, research paper, etc.

5. Monospace

Monospace is a simple but effective writing application. Although it does not provide editing tools like most other applications, its form is much more efficient. When you create a new file, you can name it yourself or select “Auto-Name” that will name it according to the date and time.

In case you want to add the format to your file, long press on the text and you will see options such as text style, text size, lists, appointments, and clipboard. I found it more convenient because, without the unnecessary format, I can focus more on the text.

6. Writer Plus

Writer Plus is another simple writing application. You can create several files and even organize them in different folders. You can create an unordered list using a ‘+’ or a ‘-‘, and for ordered lists, you can simply use numbers. To better understand these options, see the screenshot. Finally, Writer Plus has a night mode that can be modified to black in the application settings.

7. Writer

The writer is very similar to Writer Plus. You can use Writer to write without much formatting. If that is not a major concern for you, then this could be the best option, since it does not take up much space on your mobile. Unlike Writer Plus, you cannot create folders but only files. The text editor only shows you the basic statistics, such as the count of words and characters and the estimated reading time.

8. INKredible

With incredible, you can write not only with the virtual keyboard but also with your finger. The application allows you to write in different “Notebooks”. Once you type something, you can select it, followed by a tap on the checkmark that appears to make adjustments to your size and color. Like Google Docs, it is automatically saved every few minutes.
