As per the information provided, Vandenberg is scheduled to support a launch of the SAOCOM 1A satellite on SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Saturday, Oct 6 at 7:21 pm from Space Launch Complex-4E.
SpaceX is attempting a secondary mission for landing the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket landing zone 4. This was previously called SLC-4W at Vandenberg Air Force Base, which would be SpaceX’s first landing attempt.
The local residents of Central California might experience the first stage of Falcon 8 returning at Vandenberg Air Force Base, including multiple engine burns associated with landing.
While the landing attempt will take place, the residents of Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties may hear one or many sonic booms. A sonic boom is a sound that is related to the shock waves from an aircraft or any heavy vehicle traveling faster than the speed of sound. It also generates a sound which alike an explosion or thunder.
All of this sonic experience will depend on the weather condition and other things too.
