The Samsung Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s smartphones have been announced in China. The Galaxy A6s is a mid-range phone with decent specs whereas the Galaxy A9s is the very same Galaxy A9(2018) smartphone that was debuted earlier in this month in Malaysia as the world’s foremost smartphone with four rear cameras. Both smartphones have been introduced in attractive color gradient options.
The Galaxy A6s is Samsung’s first “ODM” (Original Device Manufacturer) phone. It’s a phone that bears Samsung’s name but was not made by Samsung itself. Unlike its other smartphones and even it’s other Galaxy A models, the Galaxy A6s was allegedly manufactured by Chinese company Wintech which, ironically, also produces Xiaomi’s phones.
It is manufactured by China’s Wintech firm which also makes smartphones for Xiaomi. An interesting feature about this smartphone is that it does not feature a Super AMOLED display, which is a standard on Samsung handsets. Instead, it features an IPS LCD screen measuring 6 inches. A Snapdragon 660 SoC and 6GB of RAM fuel the 128GB and 64GB storage editions of the Galaxy A6s with a dedicated slot for adding a microSD card.
The Galaxy A9s is fitted with a Super AMOLED of 6.3-inches. The Infinity Display design allows the A9s to produce an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. The front and rear panels of the Galaxy A9s are made out of glass. Its dimensions are 162.5 x 77 x 7.8mm and it weighs 183 grams.
As for availability the Galaxy A9 (2018) is speculated to go official in India on November 4th. There is yet no information on whether the Galaxy A6s will be made available outside of China or not.
