Lenovo launched its latest flagship, the Z5 Pro, featuring a camera slider similar to the Oppo Find X and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, at an event in China today. By introducing a mechanical camera slider, Lenovo has managed to accommodate an almost edge-to-edge display without cutting out a notch; achieving allegedly an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 95 percent.

Lenovo Z5 Pro smartphone shall be available in variants of 6 GB RAM with 64 GB of storage or 6 GB RAM with 128 GB of storage; foregoing a micro SD slot altogether in all probability. Lenovo Z5 Pro boasts of a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, made by Samsung; and is being powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC.

In the camera department, the Z5 Pro has been endowed with a dual-camera setup with a 16 MP Sony IMX 576 primary sensor having an aperture of f/1.8, along with a secondary 24 MP sensor. The slider houses another dual-camera setup (16 MP + 8 MP) for selfies, which are accompanied by an infrared sensor for improved facial recognition in the dark. The phone’s video shooting capabilities have been capped at 4K 30 fps through the rear camera, and at 1080p for the dual-front cameras.

The handset has as one of its central features an under-display fingerprint reader. The phone is being powered by a 3,350 mAh battery, along with Lenovo running its proprietary ZUI 10 UI on top of Android Oreo.

The 64 GB variant has been priced at CNY 1,998 (Rs 21,250), while the 128 GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,298 (roughly Rs 24,500), and the handset is being made available in a single shade of Ceramic Black.
