Uber Reveals a Slew of Incentives for Its Driver Partners, Announces Uber Pro

Uber, the cab rental giant has recently announced that it is all set to launch its next upgrade to its cab rental platform. Christened as UberPro, this beta program is introduced to eight cities in the United States. With the aim of having a greater outreach to its users and drivers alike, Uber’s newest update is more partner-driver oriented, offering a slew of incentives and discounts, even offering the driver partners various degree courses with tuition fees covered.

In a move to give full recognition to their driver partners for their quality service and commitments towards their job, Uber now has teamed up with Arizona State University (ASU) to provide eligible drivers or their families the opportunity to complete courses toward an undergraduate degree or a non-degree certificates tailored for them through ASU Online, while covering the entire tuition fees. Uber attracts a lot of young students and immigrants, managing jobs and driving for the company as a means of earning on the side. Due to its driver-friendly policies, many partner drivers depend on the company for their livelihood.

Uber Pro was first started as a pilot program with 180 Days of change, aimed at recognizing the efforts and commitments of their most dedicated driver-partners. UberPro now offers eligible drivers many rewards and discounts that can be unlocked depending on their service ratings. Offers like free dent repair, and discounts on car maintenance and at gas stations can be easily availed by the driver partners now with Uber Visa Debit Card.

These rewards’ availability is subject to drivers’ conduct and service ratings. Maintaining a consistent 4.85-star rating and a low cancellation rate, the driver can unlock the rewards with the points collected during the fixed three-month periods. For further information regarding Uber Pro, driver partners can now learn more about the beta version and the rewards available via the rewards section of the redesigned Driver App. With the Uber Pro Beta version already live and running in around 8 cities, Uber next plans are to branch out and spread the services of Uber Pro to driver partners across the globe.

With drivers spending most of the time on the road, Uber’s initiatives of introducing new discounts, fully covered tuition fees and a proper recognition would surely bring about a change and a better future for its driver partners and riders alike.
