As the internet has evolved over the years, so have the websites being put up online and the services being provided. There are websites available catering to every type of need for people. The service sector is based on filling the gaps between a person and his/her need. Right from getting your x-ray film checked with a doctor or getting advice on the type of spectacle frames that will suit your face shape, you can type in for help related to anything and the internet is sure to come with suggestions or services to help you out.

You might have had the same experience as me when you were in school or college; internet was the main source of information for us rather than books and or a newspaper, that trend continues even now with the younger generation. I am not here to give my opinion on that but only to mention a few websites that helped me as a student in need.

Internet Archive

This is a free service providing millions of books and billions of archived web pages online to students. You can type in any book’s name that is specified for your coursework and they will have it available for you to download. I accessed it many times whenever I had to access a book I didn’t have my hands on. The service even extends from that and allows you to watch millions of movies and songs. I recommend it to every student out there.

Khan Academy

I would recommend this to the school students. It was started by a man hell-bent on providing online help to students. You will find thousands of videos online on subjects mostly what we were taught in school. There are tons of other websites offering videos online that help you understand the concept of the subjects you are studying in school, but no one does it better; the highlight of the videos are that the concepts are broken down in parts to help you understand better. I have been on this website whenever I got stuck with a chapter I could not get through.

EDX

This website offers around 1900 courses for you to take and study. You will be charged for the certificate but you can take all the courses for free. If you want to push your learning curve as I wanted to do while graduating, you can opt for different courses related to the course you are taking in University and increase your knowledge graph. There are courses available even from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology for your take. There are multiple other platforms like AcadmicEarth and Cosmolearning but it stands out because of the ease of use and teaching methods.

Chegg

It is a worldwide known help site for students. It offers homework help, tutoring sessions, book rentals, internships, and career guidance to students. There are tons of websites available much cheaper like EssayWriter4U and BestOnlineAssignmentHelp but Chegg’s USP comes from its worldwide reach and its established networks with student learning platforms and companies. Chegg has been a student-help platform for 15 years now and is known all over. You can even post questions online and ask the experts to answer those.

TFTH

This website offers online assignment help along with free Turnitin plagiarism-check for an essay or project you have created yourself. The services range from proofreading your work and correcting it to writing your CV. These websites are pretty much a rage among students who have to offload some of their work and focus on a part-time job or any additional projects they might have undertaken.
