Mi is rolling out the global stable version of MIUI 10 ROM for Mi Max and Mi Max Prime. MIUI 10 takes a completely new approach to the design of mobile Operating Systems and has been designed for full-screen devices. It combines the advantages of hardware with those of smart software solutions to end up creating a unique experience.

MIUI 10 boasts of an improved swipe system, apart from sounding better than ever before. It is also equipped with a completely re-imagined notification sound system making MIUI comforting and disturbance-free.

The previous system optimizations for MIUI 9 receive a boost in MIUI 10, with the introduction of new optimizations like ‘Lock-free critical path’ and ‘Co-dependent prioritizing’ which increases the speed by 10% when compared with MIUI 9.

MIUI 10 has a faster swipe response time, making system responses to swipes while browsing photos, surfing the web, or chatting in a messenger amazingly fast, with MIUI promising to be ahead of other Android phones.

So far as advantaging a full display is concerned, in MIUI 10 all extra decoration and visual clutter have been removed to redesign the layout and regrouping items based on their features to make the screen looks crisp, clear, and airy.

The notification shade and the whole system has been redesigned to fill MIUI 10 with new visual details like the Weather app, Calendar, Notes, and Lock-screen; designed especially for full screens with new aspect ratios.

MIUI 10 also introduces a completely new system of sounds and ringtones, with sounds that users shall hear & feel sounding natural rather than mechanical. Even the stressful sound of a timer has been toned down to become relaxing, with  Ambient Noises playing throughout the countdown, making the process much more soothing, compared to an alarming beep at the end.

MIUI 10 comes with a simplified system of sounds and smart filters so that users hear something only when they need to. The Ambient Noises included in MIUI 10 comprises of sounds of the forest, beach, drizzle, stove fire, and summer night.

AI algorithm has been equipped to blur the background on portrait shots so that a dual-camera phone can make photos look stunning and professional and the feature will be available on most Mi phones across the whole lineup after users upgrade to MIUI 10.

MIUI 10 also has customizations for the Indian market, including a lot of localized content and local services like the ability to scan Paytm QR codes directly in the Camera app, using quick menus in Messaging or enjoy songs and videos in the native language in Mi Music and Mi Video.

MIUI has teamed up with more than 400 content providers to bring its Indian users 10 million songs in 15 languages, apart from bringing 500K hours of online content in 15 languages that are spoken in India to Mi Video.

MIUI 10 shall also usher in a lot of local Indian services to the Mi Browser; with the Progressive Web App (PWA) support allowing users to access sites like Flipkart, Ola, OYO and other services in the browser just as they can in separate apps, with the apps looking and working just the same, minus the disadvantage of having to download and install additional packages.

Previously introduced Message Sender ID support allows MIUI 10 to create quick menus in Messaging like opening up a set of convenient options for the conversation after receiving a text from the bank with users being able to open specific websites and apps at the same time, or the ability to view the balance or find an ATM nearby after receiving a message from Paytm. The quick menu is available for more than 100 services in the Indian market.
