Samsung is beginning to roll out the December security update for all Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users. The update comes with version number N9600ZHU1ARL1 and has begun to roll-out in Hong Kong, although it is a matter of time to reach the other countries where the device is sold, including India. As usual, the download is available via OTA (over the air), which means you do not need to update it manually.

The security patch for the month of December for the Galaxy Note 9 includes fixes for six critical vulnerabilities on the Android operating system and solution for more than a dozen high-risk vulnerabilities. It should be noted that this update only has the security patch and no update has been added for the mobile operating system. At this time, Note 9 is receiving Android 9 Pie in beta. It is already on the second public beta, which means that it is a matter of weeks before the final version of Android Pie will arrive.

If the days pass and you do not receive a pop-up message on your mobile notifying you of the security update, you only have to enter the Note 9 settings menu, in software updates and search manually. Of course, before updating the equipment it is necessary that you take into account a series of tips so that no problem occurs during the process.

1. Check that you have enough battery power.

2. It is necessary that your Note 9 have sufficient storage capacity when installing the update. If this is not the case, pass all the photos and files you want to save to the cloud. Keep in mind that if the update detects that you lack storage space, the installation may not occur.

3. When making the update always connect to a secure WiFi. Avoid doing it with the data connection or in public WiFis.
