Xiaomi is giving some tough competition to Samsung, Huawei and OnePlus by releasing their 5G smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 855. Xiaomi’s executives unveiled the news about releasing the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3S equipped with Sony IMX586 sensor. The new smartphone will be released early next year. It was speculated that Xiaomi will be releasing Xiaomi Mi 9 but that is not the case and instead, they announced releasing an upgraded version of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.
Information about the features of the new smartphone has already been leaked. Some features such as the slide screen design and the curved screen parameters on the front screen are same as the last Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Needless to say, Xiaomi had not made any major changes for the latest version of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 except for adding the front double camera and the earpiece under the sliding cover but the camera area on the back of the upgraded phone has undergone a major change.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S will be sporting the brand new Sony IMX586 sensor and the three cameras will be able to adopt the vertical arrangement. The back camera is of 48 megapixels with two 12 megapixel camera combinations and the front camera comes in a combination of 20MP+8MP. The camera will be able to support optical stabilization. The fingerprint scanner continues to be in the middle of the phone and the back of the smartphone is made out of ceramic materials. As mentioned before, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be running on Snapdragon 855, the world’s fastest processor. It will come in the combination of 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. Apart from these impressive features, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S will be the very first smartphone to support 5G network.
The date for the release of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S has not yet been decided but it is expected to be released in mid-January next year and the smartphone will be priced at 3,999 yuan which makes it one of the most high-end flagship market.
