After the successful testing of the crypto features with its Beta Release in July this year, Opera has finally come up with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet feature to be released on its Android app.

Recently announced at a Blockchain event in London, the New Opera browser was launched in an ambitious effort to take hold of the “decentralized internet” and will assist users to receive and send bitcoins and other transactions related to crypto-based eCommerce. Although initially, only Ethereum would be supported by the built-in crypto wallet, Opera plans to soon enable access to other bitcoins in the near future.

After the initial positive growth of cryptocurrency prices, over a period of time the cryptocurrencies market has considerably dwindled. Taking a cue from cryptocurrencies experts who stated that low season is a potentially good time to build a base for cryptocurrencies in the future, Opera’s inbuilt crypto wallet would help users to do transactions via coin base commerce with just a simple yet secured password or a fingerprint. Opera has also secured its users against the recent onslaught of scams that have taken over the cryptocurrency world by beefing up security via various anti-cryptocurrency software.

In a recent statement by Opera’s product lead for crypto, Charles Hamel reportedly said that this new initiative to include crypto wallet in its browser would help introduce Blockchain-based technology to millions of Opera’s faithful users across the world.

Users who deal in cryptocurrencies can now easily download and install the Opera browser featuring a built-in crypto wallet on Android and purchase bitcoins and ether tokens to make transactions via Coinbase Commerce and other payment providers.
