To vary a Tesla news that does not involve the autopilot and its protagonist in avoiding accidents or being part of them. Great news for Europeans driving Tesla vehicles came out on Thursday (27). Elon Musk, the CEO of the electric vehicle company has announced a plan by the manufacturer to extend across Europe the range of its Superchargers.
The Tesla Supercharger network would be the stations for the company’s standalone cars. Similar to common fueling sites, except that instead of gasoline, alcohol, and diesel, it offers energy to power the vehicles plugged into the station.
The charging stations will be similar to the new FastCharge stations, offered by BMW and Porsche. The main difference is in the time it takes to recharge. The Tesla Supercharger was formerly called the world’s fastest charging network, taking about half an hour to fill the battery, while the FastCharge station achieves the same in 15 minutes.
Elon Musk’s response came as a result of the tweet from a Tesla user who lamented the absence of Superchargers, the fast chargers for Tesla cars, outside of Dublin. To all this, Musk responded to the complaint with a categorical affirmation: “Yes, the coverage of the Superchargers will be extended to 100% of Europe next year. From Ireland to Kiew and from Norway to Turkey. “
Currently having more than 11,000 stations around the world, Musk says that next year they will go “from Ireland to Kiev, from Norway to Turkey,” adding that Greece and Romania will have coverage next year and that Africa will start receiving them in 2020.
This certainly can be excellent news for new buyers seeking to buy the new Tesla Model S, Model M or Model X or current users of Tesla in Europe as these chargers allow them to recover the charge of their batteries in much less time.
