If Android made an iPhone X, Motorola’s P30 would probably have been it. Motorola released the P30 smartphone which had striking similarities with iPhone X back in August and it was only available in China. According to some rumors and photos leaked on the website OnLeaks, it is being widely speculated that Motorola may soon release a new smartphone, P40, which will succeed the P30.
As promised, here comes a bit late Christmas gift as your very first and very early look at which I guess will come as #Motorola Moto P30 successor (Moto P40?)! 360° video + official looking 5K renders + dimensions + some specs, on behalf of @91mobiles -> https://t.co/ul2c458GVt pic.twitter.com/Stukj7r4b5

The two smartphones, Motorola P30, and Motorola P40, somewhat looks similar but there are some features which make it possible to distinguish between these two smartphones. The P30 had a display notch on the top-middle part of the phone, a feature that is iPhone X’s very own. But the new P40 comes with the latest punch-hole display. The punch-hole lies at the top-left corner of the P40 and it is designed for the front camera.
The inclusion of the punch-hole makes it possible for the smartphone to don a 6.2-inch display screen. Motorola is not the first smartphone manufacturing company to come up with the idea of a punch-hole. Samsung, Huawei, and Honor have already exhausted this new latest design trend in some of their latest devices.
The P30 and the upcoming P40 are in many ways similar to each other. Just like the P30, the P40 also has a Motorola branding on its back which is made of glass and which accommodates the dual camera setup one of which, it is speculated, will be of 48 MP, and a fingerprint scanner. The flagship device is packed with USB Type-C port at the bottom, a headphone jack on the top and volume button on its ride side, and a SIM card slot on its left.
The fingerprint scanner has the typical Motorola batwing logo on top of it. In the pictures leaked on the website, a bold Android One branding can be seen which proves that if Motorola decides to launch the P40, it will be an Android One smart-phone. This branding confirms that Motorola P40 will be available on the global market and will not be restricted to only one region, like its predecessor.
