The new Remote Access feature is designed to enhance wireless connectivity with PCs, tablets, and smart-phones. Now the users will be able to use their Samsung Smart TV to remotely further control compatible programs and apps.

Samsung is committed to creating an intuitive and convenient user experience for consumers. With Remote Access, consumers will be able to easily access various programs, apps and cloud services installed on multiple connected devices directly through their TV screen. The new Remote Access is fit to work both ways in terms of the TV itself and in terms of PC. Remote Access will make possible connecting input devices to the Smart TV so that users can easily control on-screen content. A PC too can be remotely accessed through the TV making it possible to perform several other tasks, like surfing the web on the PC or playing games from their TV’s screen using a connected keyboard and mouse. Users can access files and work on documents from their Smart TVs because Remote Access can access browser-based cloud office service.

As mentioned by Lee, Samsung has collaborated with others to make remote access efficient and user-friendly. VMware together with Samsung created a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solution called VMware Horizon which gives the users the power to use Remote Access anywhere in the world. To keep the wireless connectivity and the cloud services safe from online threats, the security area will be overseen by Knox security technology.
