The purchase of FOX by Disney may already start to bear fruit to superhero fans as early as the first half of 2019. Marvel is expected to start developing such films as X-Men, Deadpool and Fantastic Four by the beginning of next year.

Confirmation came from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige himself in an interview with Variety. The executive approves the return of the characters that were then part of the agreement with FOX since Marvel was without access to them for a long time.

I’ve already been told that things are going well and that can happen in the first six months of next year. But in real terms about thinking and planning things, we have not started yet. – Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios

Although there is a great deal of expectation to see Wolverine, Deadpool and other FOX superheroes in the Marvel Film Universe, Feige says there is still a lot of content to work on even without the latest buys.

Twenty-three films, still only really scratched the surface of what has been published for the past 80 years. There are others we have not yet played in terms of genre pieces, which is what we always like to do.

There are only a few superhero movies have got the nod from the maker which are set forth as the next project like Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, the popular franchise where we saw a number of Avengers plunged into the death and they might not come back in the next version, hence Captain America and Iron Man are most likely to hand the shield.

Announced in mid-December last year, the acquisition of The Walt Disney Company allows access to Twentieth Century Fox Film, Fox Searchlight Pictures, FOX 2000, TV studios, and the international cable TV business.
