New 2019 iPhone renders have just leaked, which could be informally known as iPhone XI. The render-developed images were published by the popular leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer.

The images published on this site show an iPhone very similar to the iPhone X and iPhone XS: glass design, a notch on the top of the screen, and a rear camera. However, the Notch looks smaller than the current one in the X and XS; the rear camera has three lenses, and its setup closely resembles the Huawei Mate 20 camera.

The rear camera design is square-shaped. And like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the Apple – at least according to renders – would have the square of the three cameras and the flash located in one of the upper corners. Also, the square camera setup in the renders seems to be protruding. It is not the first time we have heard that Apple plans to integrate three cameras in the 2019 iPhones, which apparently would have 3D functions and a time-of-flight technology (ToF) sensor to turn the smartphone into an advanced augmented reality device. In fact, a recent Bloomberg report indicates that Sony is driving the production of 3D sensors for Apple.

The renders published this week are based on the reports revealed so far that indicate the presence of three lenses in the back camera of the cell phone; the location and design of these three cameras are based on the report. Sources have also suggested that the bottom bezels and front Notch setup will decrease in size, especially since the sensors located there can now be manufactured in units that occupy less space. Unlike other manufacturers like Samsung or Huawei, that try to avoid the use of the Notch, Apple would continue using it, but of a smaller size.

Apple hasn’t responded to the reports, rumors, or speculation. It is expected that the iPhone XI, or as it would be officially named, will be announced in September.
