Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Receives a Huge Price Cut in India

It’s time for celebration for customers who are willing to buy the Redmi Y2 as Xiaomi has announced a “Happy News” for Indian customers. Taking off the curtain from the suspense, Xiaomi Mobile has declared that its new but already released Xiaomi Redmi Y2, which came in June last year, will now be available starting at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB and 32GB internal storage variant, and Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage version.

The Chinese company disclosed the cut-off of Rs. 2,000 in just 2 months of its price slash of Rs 1,000 on November 16 last year in India. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 was launched in June last year at a price starting at Rs. 10,499 for the 3GB and 32GB internal storage variant and Rs. 12,990 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage version. The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is a low-end smartphone. In this case, we find a device with Snapdragon 625 chipset available in two versions. One with 32 GB of memory and 3 GB of RAM and the other with 64 GB and 4 GB of RAM. However, it stands out for its front camera of 16 MP with a flash which is ideal for selfies.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 features a 5.99-inch screen with IPS LCD technology. The display resolution is 1440 x 720 pixels and has a density of 269 PPI. It also has a color depth range of NTSC 70.8%. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio with narrow front bezels. As mentioned before, The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2.0 GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 packs a 3080mAh non-removable battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 offers a dual rear camera. The first sensor is a 12 MP normal lens, and the second one is a 5 MP depth-sensing Lens. It features an f/2.2 aperture, PDAF Auto Focus, and Dual-Tone LED flash. As far as video capture is concerned, it is capable of recording 1080p footage at 30 fps and at 720p @ 30 fps.

For the front, The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 has a 16 MP sensor, and a single-tone LED flash with a pixel size of 2 μm. The front camera has various functions such as HDR, AI portrait mode, front camera blur background, intelligent AI beauty, and face whitening modes.
