Software bugs can be very annoying and even make you lose all your work, but they are usually harmless. This is not the case; users have now reportedly discovered a very dangerous Adobe Premiere CC bug that can seriously damage Apple’s MacBook Pro speakers.

More than a dozen users have reported this bug to Adobe, explaining that the speakers on their MacBook Pro devices have burst. So if you have any model of the Apple laptop and usually use Adobe Premiere CC usually, we strongly recommend you NOT use your audio editing tools.

This problem with the Adobe Premiere CC software is related to the tools to improve audio and the microphone. They recommend deactivating the microphone from Adobe while using these tools from Preferences> Audio Hardware.

Here are some of the users shared experiences:

I WAS WORKING ON A PROJECT, THE VOLUME OF THE MACBOOK WAS IN THE MIDDLE, WHEN SUDDENLY AN AUDIO BUG HAPPENED AND I HEARD A VERY LOUD NOISE THAT I COULD NOT STOP. WHEN IT STOPPED, THE SPEAKERS WERE SILENT, AND AFTER RESTARTING THEY WERE CLEARLY BUSTED

Another user said that his speakers were permanently damaged:

I JUST BLEW UP MY SPEAKERS (MACBOOK PRO 15″ 2018) WITH ADOBE PREMIERE. THEY ARE PERMANENTLY DAMAGED. I WAS USING THE ADOBE PREMIERE 2019 AUDIO SUITE FOR THE BACKGROUND SOUND AND AS I TWEAKED THE SETTINGS IT MADE A BIG BANG THAT EVEN DAMAGED MY EARS. AFTER THAT, MY SPEAKERS ARE UNUSABLE

Some users indicate that it is not possible to know if it is a problem of Adobe or Apple; what is certain is that these things should not happen with two high-level products such as Adobe Premiere and MacBook Pro.
