It’s just a few more days from the LG’s event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that will occur on February 24. LG will reportedly unveil at least two smartphones at the event- the LG G8 ThinQ and, according to the latest news, the LG V50 ThinQ with Sprint 5G.

A leak from Evan Blass (@evleaks) shows a promotional press render from Sprint of the LG V50 ThinQ, where the yellow 5G logo has been criticized for its less-than-appealing look by many Twitter users.

The previous month saw reports circulating from Korean media that the V50 ThinQ would be unveiled alongside the G8 ThinQ, and the phone would launch on Sprint in March. Sprint has planned to bring 5G to nine cities in the first half of this year.

The LG V50 ThinQ would have a 6-inch display that seems to be much bigger and wider than the display of the G8. There appears to be a notch, tiny bezels, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, two front-facing cameras, a horizontal triple-camera setup at the rear, and possibly a face unlock component, which can be discerned from the renders.

According to previous announcements by LG, its first 5G phone, which we now realize is the LG V50 ThinQ, is supposed to comprise a 4,000mAh battery and an advanced cooling system.

It is also believed that LG’s new mobile user interface would make extensive use of gestures for navigation.

With other major Android OEMs in 5G coming up, including South Korean rival Samsung’s Galaxy X, LG is about to face some serious competition.
