HTC is trying to place a foot ahead of others with its 5G Hub technology for hassle-free internet use. Today at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, HTC revealed its 5G Hub, which will act as a central portal for all your devices to get the superfast next-generation 5G networks.
Designed for home or office use, the HTC Home Hub features a 5-inch touchscreen and offers its own long-lasting 7,660 mAh battery for use on the go while away from power and Wi-Fi connectivity. As a home media center, HTC says the plug-and-play device could actually replace a Wi-Fi router by going directly to the 5G network for online games played at 60fps and 4K resolution.
While it’s not designed to work as a smart display, you can speak to Google Assistant via the Hub, but the screen should mainly be used for gaining quick access to controls. It runs on Android Pie and is powered up by the latest Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon 855.
The HTC 5G Hub enables 4K video streaming and low-latency gaming but can also be a 5G mobile hotspot for up to 20 users; in addition to all this, it can also charge your phone. The HTC 5G Hub will be offered by some carriers worldwide, including Spring in the U.S, Telstra in Australia, Three UK, Deutsche Telekom in Germany, Sunrise in Switzerland, and Elisa in Finland.
