Lenovo Unveils Numerous New Devices and Data Centers With Smart Technology at the MWC 2019

The MWC 2019 saw Lenovo launching a slew of new products in correspondence with its vision of making available to people smarter technology, along with Data Center technology and solutions.

Lenovo Tab V7 Ultra-portable Tablet-and-smartphone-in-one

Lenovo’s recently unveiled Tab V7 has been described as more of a smartphone – one with a big screen – and less of a tablet. Announced at the MWC 2019, the Tab V7 comes with a slew of features, but this model is not of the foldable kind, so fitting it inside one’s pockets will be quite a hassle. However, with its thin and light profile, which is just 7.89 mm thin,, and a premium metallic rim, the tablet/smartphone is conveniently portable.

Talking about its specifications, the Tab V7 comprises a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and an 81% screen-to-body ratio.

The rear camera is 13MP with LED flash, and the front is of 5MP.

Including the Android Pie OS and run by Snapdragon 450, this model comprises a storage capacity of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

The handset consists of the 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G Dual SIM slots, and two Dolby Atmos Audio-tuned speakers that can get the party going, along with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The battery capacity of 5180 mAh offers up to 30 hours of talk time and 10 hours of local video playback and browsing time. The connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS / GLONASS, USB Type-C port.

The Lenovo Tab V7 will be available in the Slate Black color from April onwards, at approximately US$ 280 or €249 or Rs. 20,060.

The newest additions to Lenovo’s ThinkPad computers

Lenovo announced the addition of the T490s, T490, T590, X390, and X390 Yoga™ to its ThinkPad assemblage, which boasts of design, exceptional engineering, security, durability, and an overall premium technology experience. Lenovo makes use of Intelligent Connectivity principles through a foundational engineering philosophy to bring in the following innovations to its computers.

The ThinkSheild digital security now comprises new features such as ThinkPad PrivacyGuard with PrivacyAlert and ThinkShutter physical webcam security that are available on most models. The computers also include a ThinkPad BIOS with new features like self-healing capability.

Coming with the latest 8th Gen Intel Core™ processors, the models support high-speed WWAN connectivity with up to Gigabit speeds. The T490 uses Fibocom L860-GL CAT16 LTE, and the T490s, X390, and X390 Yoga feature the latest Intel® Wi-Fi 6 Gig+.

Lenovo also includes dual microphones with four-meter far-field performance and 360-degree capability, along with an HDR display with Dolby Vision™ support for the T490s, T490, and T590. Moreover, a new low-power 400 nit FHD display is available on T490s and T490.

It is expected that the ThinkPad T490s will start being available in April at €1099, the ThinkPad T490 in March 2019 at €969, the ThinkPad T590 in March 2019 at €949, the ThinkPad X390 in April at €999, and the ThinkPad X390 Yoga in May at €1149, all mentioned prices excluding VAT.

Lenovo 14w with Windows® 10 and Lenovo 14e Chromebook™ laptops

These laptops have been introduced with the aim of increasing first-line worker productivity in sectors including retail, hospitality, travel, and manufacturing, so as to improve contribution and collaboration.

The Lenovo 14w with Windows 10 is expected to roll out in April at €299, and the Lenovo 14e Chromebook in April at €279 with additional VAT.

Lenovo’s latest IdeaPad and IdeaCentre PCs

Lenovo’s latest Windows 10-supported PC range would offer economical choices for students, young professionals, and families, with “more design choices and greater value for daily computing and connectivity.”

IdeaPad S340: This slim and light PC comes in 14-inch and 15-inch size options, along with the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPUs, or the option of up to AMD Ryzen 7 3700U mobile processor with Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics.

The PC’s smart features include AI-powered Amazon Alexa and Microsoft Cortana. This model comes in four color options.

The 14-inch and 15-inch AMD-based IdeaPad S340 is expected to be available from April onwards at €549, and the 14-inch and 15-inch Intel-based IdeaPad S340 from March onwards at €599.

IdeaPad S540: Coming in an all-aluminum framework and in two options of 14-inch and 15-inch, the new IdeaPad S540 ultra-slim laptop boasts of greater portability and longer battery life which is very convenient for working on the go. The bezels are thinner, offering a sleek profile complete with optional Full HD IPS display, an integrated TrueBlock privacy shutter over the webcam, and a Dolby Audio™ Speaker System.

The PC is powered by the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with up NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 GPUs, or the option of up to an AMD® Ryzen™ 7 3700U mobile processor with Radeon™ RX Vega 10 graphics.

It offers up to 12 hours of battery life with RapidCharge technology, which means that you can use it for up to 2 hours with only a 15 minutes charge.

The IdeaPad S540 comes in the color options of Abyss Blue, Copper and Mineral Grey. The 14-inch AMD-based IdeaPad S540 is expected to roll out in April 2019 at €799, the 14-inch Intel-based IdeaPad S540 in March 2019 at €899, and the 15-inch Intel-based IdeaPad S540 in April 2019 at €899.

IdeaPad C340: This one is a two-in-one convertible laptop that can conveniently be transformed from a laptop into a tablet. Available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes, this model comes in three color options.

With a battery life of up to 8 hours with RapidCharge technology, some models contain the Active Pen support and an optionally integrated fingerprint reader for quick and easy PC log-in.

The 14-inch AMD-based Lenovo IdeaPad C340 is expected to roll out in April at €599, and the 14-inch and 15-inch Intel-based IdeaPad C340 in March at €599.

IdeaCentre AIO A340: This all-in-one desktop comes in 22-inch or 24-inch Full HD display and thinner bezels, and offers a space-saving desktop PC alternative. Including an Intel Core i5-8400T processor with AMD Radeon 530 or integrated graphics, or choice of up to 7th generation AMD A9-9425 processor with Radeon R5 graphics, this PC has a minimalist curved steel monitor stand that makes it quite unique.

The 22-inch and 24-inch variants are supposed to roll out this March at €499 and €599, respectively.

Lenovo ThinkVision M14 mobile display

Enabling optimum remote teamwork, the M14 offers an expanded screen area and easy content sharing capabilities. It is expected to be available from June onwards at €229.

Lenovo X1 ANC Headphones

These Dolby-tuned headphones provide enhanced audio capability during communication and voice commands and are expected to roll out in June at €158.

Lenovo Yoga ANC Headphones

Designed for immersive entertainment or focused productivity, these headphones filter out background noise during calls, featuring hybrid ANC (active noise cancellation) and ENC (environmental noise cancellation) mics complete with voice assist and Dolby-tuned drivers. They are expected to be available from June at €158.
