Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou said that a severe violation was constituted by the Canadian Government alleging on violation of US sanctions on Iran. The lawyers for Huawei Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou are suing the Canadian government, its border agency, and federal police, alleging their client was detained, searched, and interrogated for three hours in violation of her constitutional rights.

On Sunday, Lawyers for Meng Wanzhou said they filed a notice of civil claim stating the British Columbia Supreme Court. Canada Govt. arrested Meng, the daughter of Huawei’s founder, at the request of the US on December 1 at Vancouver’s airport.

The suit also claims Canada Border Service Agency agents have seized her electronic devices, obtained passwords, and taken to the audacity to unlawfully view the contents and even then failed to advise her of the real reasons for her detention. Only after keeping her wait for three hours was she told that she was under arrest and had the right to counsel.

Meng’s sudden arrest set off a diplomatic furor and severely troubled Canadian relations with China. Beijing has accused Washington of a politically motivated attempt to hurt the company. Canadian officials have conducted a thorough and diligent review of the evidence and determined that the evidence would suffice to present the case to a judge for extradition.
