Huawei’s Honor has launched a new tablet named Honor Tab 5. It is a generic tablet that comes with a basic design, including thick bezels on the end bottom and a very general design at the rear. It features the premium Kirin 710 chipset, which is in the same league as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660.

The Honor Tab 5 has an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels. On the other hand, it has a fairly classic design, with edges on all four sides quite pronounced. The back part looks metallic, and the camera is located in the upper left corner. The chipset is a 64-bit octa-core mid-range performance mobile ARM LTE SoC introduced by HiSilicon in mid-2018. This chip, fabricated on TSMC’s 12 nm process, features four Cortex-A73 big cores operating at up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 little cores running at up to 1.7 GHz.

It is manufactured in 12 nm process and has four Cortex-A73 cores running up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores operating at a frequency of up to 1.7 GHz. It also comes with the ARM Mali G51 MP4 GPU, compatible with the GPU Turbo 2.0 function to improve the graphics we have seen in some terminals of the manufacturer.

It comes with dual Smart PA audio chips, which can sense the status of the dual speakers in real-time, and intelligently adjust the amplitude of the speakers in order to improve the sound level, bringing richer bass and better sound quality. On the other hand, it has an 8-megapixel front camera and a rear camera whose features have not yet been revealed.

The new Honor Tab 5 will go on sale in China next March 10th. It will be available in a 3 GB + 32 GB version with WiFi only, with a price of 1,100 yuan, which would be around Rs. 11560. There will also be a WiFi version available with 4 GB + 64 GB with a price tag of 1,300 yuan, about Rs. 13661.
