OnePlus 7 may go official very soon. Recently, CEO Pete Lau has shut all rumors regarding the company’s wireless charging support, and now Lau reveals more details about OnePlus’ future products. Through a latest Weibo post, Lau hints at wireless earphones with OnePlus 7 smartphone.

Since the launch of OnePlus 6 smartphone came the OnePlus Bullets Wireless, the company’s first wired earphones, Oneplus CEO, Pete Lau, opined over a Weibo post on the removal of the earphone jack, yesterday. He added the removal of the audio jack would help spur development of wireless earphones. As with each passing generation, the technology should get better. He said that even though the Bullets Wireless is perfect, it can still be better. He ended the post by asking for suggestions on how to improve their earphones.

Lau said that removal of headphone jack would speed up the development of ‘truly’ wireless earphones. Lau added that OnePlus Bullets are great, but it still can be better. The post has led to speculation among the viewers that the smartphone maker will introduce its first truly wireless headphones alongside the flagship OnePlus 7.

OnePlus could also be working with Qualcomm to integrate aptX adaptive audio, which was announced for wireless headphones last year. We will know more about OnePlus’ plans around its next smartphone and a wireless audio segment in the next few weeks.
