Recently, Xiaomi has been offering some of the most highly budget-friendly Wi-Fi routers in its home market, China, and other countries like India. Debuted in 2017, the Xiaomi Mi Router 3C has been one of the most popular budget-friendly Wi-Fi routers in markets like India. Now the company appears to release yet another offering in this segment – 4A and 4A Gigabit routers.

The new Mi Router 4A can operate in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, through which it can transmit up to 1,167 Mbps. It has an error correction algorithm to have a more stable data transmission. It also has 4 high gain antennas. Xiaomi launched two models: one with 100M Ethernet and another with Gigabit Ethernet.

The two new routers will be presented at once: Xiaomi Router 4A and Xiaomi Router 4A Gigabit Version. Outwardly, they will be very similar to the Xiaomi Router 4, which is equipped with four antennas. The letter A in the title will indicate an improved filling compared to Xiaomi Router 4. The original model received a dual-core processor MT7621A, 128 MB of DDR3 RAM, and 128 MB of flash memory.

Presumably, the Xiaomi Router 4A will not have gigabit ports, while the Xiaomi Router 4A Gigabit Version will receive one gigabit WAN, one Gigabit LAN, and an additional LAN port with a bandwidth of 100 Mbps. Notably, the brand already offers a more affordable version of the Mi Router 4 in China called the Mi Router 4C. It’s quite likely that the upcoming accessory from the company could offer a better set of specs than the Mi Router 4C.

Xiaomi router 4A is to be sold for 119 yuan (Rs. 1,235), and the 4A Gigabit version will be on sale from March 19 with a price tag of 169 yuan (Rs. 1,754).
