Acer has officially launched its latest FreeSync 2 HDR monitor, a dual-wide monitor that offers support for almost anything a user will want. From high-refresh rates to Adaptive-Sync compatibility and HDR support, it has all. The Acer EI491CR Pbmiiipx, a 49-inch 3840×1080 monitor, supports FreeSync 2 and VESA DisplayHDR 400.

The title already hints at most of it; the Acer EI491CR is one of the most breathtaking monitors to grace the side of 2019, ticking most boxes considered relevant for a great gaming experience. Looking at this monitor’s specifications, we can see that FreeSync 2 HDR is supported alongside 120Hz refresh rates over HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, though 144Hz refresh rates are also possible when using this screen’s overclock mode. Acer also lists a variable refresh rate range of 48-120FPS, which should expand to 48-144Hz on overclock mode.

Acer EI491CR monitor will enable ultra fluid gaming, especially when paired with FreeSync 2, with the most magnificent experience. FreeSync 2 also makes an appearance in the monitor’s display of HDR content via its VESA HDR 400 certification. On the Typical contrast, it stands at 3000:1 and with a typical brightness of 400 cd/m² with color coverage.

The majestic resolution and aspect ratio of this Acer EI491CR display makes it equivalent to two 1080p monitors set side-by-side, which makes it look like a single screen alternative to a dual-monitor setup, indeed, great news for the ultra-wide game lovers. Mostly, such a structure with two displays has a bezel in-between the twinned monitors, making it unusable for most modern games; Ultra-wide Acer monitors mitigate this issue entirely.

Acer has listed its 49-inch EI491CR Pbmiiipx display with a price tag of $1199.99 (Rs. 83,453) in the US.
