Elon Musk had been hinting, throughout 2018, at a Tesla pickup truck that would be unveiled in 2019, and in a tweet, Musk declared to have released the first teaser image of Tesla’s electric pickup truck which is said to be inspired by Blade Runner.

Supposedly, Tesla had reportedly flashed an image on the main screen “About a minute in” soon before people started to leave for the Model Y test rides. It was not really caught by all, but those who noticed it guessed it was a teaser for the Tesla electric pickup truck.

Musk moreover revealed in the tweet that keeping in mind the Blade Runner inspiration source for the truck, Tesla had played the end titles from Blade Runner after the completion of the Model Y webcast.

Musk has not revealed much about the specifications of the truck except that it would be a 6-seater “big truck” with a mile range exceeding 400-500. Moreover, he had previously declared this vehicle to be the one among all the current new vehicle programs which excites him the most, calling it a futuristic ‘cyberpunk’ truck, and says that the vehicle might just be “too futuristic for most people.

The new Tesla electric pickup truck is set to be unveiled sometime in 2019, and the production timeline of this vehicle is uncertain as of now.
