Huawei Launches Enjoy 9S and 9E Smartphones in China

Huawei hosted an event to launch two new smartphones, Enjoy 9S and 9e in China.

Huawei Enjoy 9S is the Chinese version of the recently-announced P smart+ 2019 that packs a 6.21-inch Full HD+ waterdrop notch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, around 90% screen-to-body ratio, Kirin 710 SoC, support for GPU Turbo 2.0, Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0 on top, 24-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for AI portraits and AI scene detection and a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens.

In accord with the camera, the phone has a triple rear setup with a 24MP primary sensor along with 16MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas on the front side it will come with an 8MP sensor for selfie snapper and video calls. The phone under the hood is backed up by a 3400mAh capacity battery with Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0.

Huawei Enjoy 9e, on the other hand, is the Chinese version of Y6 2019 that packs a 6.09-inch HD+ Dewdrop notch display with 87% screen-to-body ratio, MediaTek Helio A22 SoC with 3GB of RAM. Powered by Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0, 13-megapixel camera on the back with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 3020mAh battery. It also comes with HUAWEI SuperSound audio that promises 2 times improved audio compared to other phones.

The camera will come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, and f/1.8 aperture. On the front side, it will tout an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture flash.

The Huawei Enjoy 9S is priced at 1499 Yuan (Rs 15,400 approx.) for the 64GB storage variant and 1699 Yuan (Rs 17,450 approx.) for the 128GB storage variant. The Huawei Enjoy 9e is priced at 999 Yuan (Rs 10,260 approx.). It comes in Black, Blue, and Gold colors and will go on sale on 8 April in China.
