Twitch Prime has a wonderful perk for Nintendo Switch owners, as they get access to up to 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online, which can also be availed by subscribers of Amazon Prime and Prime Video as Amazon owns Twitch and linking Amazon Prime and Twitch accounts automatically gives the customers access to Twitch Prime.
This free service can be availed through two stages. First, subscribers have to claim the free three-month membership. Second, after 2 months since the users started availing the free service, the subscribers have to redeem the next nine months’ worth of service.
For the existing Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, the free months would be added to their existing subscription. It should also be noted that family plans do not qualify for this offer.
Usually, Nintendo Switch Online subscription for 12 months costs around $20 USD.
Moreover, it has been clarified that
Nintendo Switch Online membership will automatically convert to a 3-month membership for $7.99 unless automatic renewal is turned off any time up to 48 hours before the end of the initial 3-month membership
So subscribers have to make sure to check their renewal settings if they want to avoid paying extra.
The offer for the initial 3 months of free service closes on September 28, 2019, and that for the next 9 months service expires on January 28, 2020.
