Announced in 2018, Amazon has finally launched its updated Echo Show in India at a price of Rs. 22,999. The second generation device has been equipped with a 10-inch HD display, a passive bass radiator, dual side-firing 2-inch Neodymium drivers, and Dolby sound processing. Besides the ability to interact with Amazon’s own voice assistant, Alexa, the Echo Show display can also be used to watch movies and videos. The device has also been provided with optimized Alexa skills to enable it to perform seamlessly with its bigger display.
Amazon Echo Show’s 5 MP front camera helps users place video calls from the device itself, allowing them to surf the web. All thanks to a built-in web browser. Additionally, it has been equipped with an in-built Zigbee smart home hub that enables the speaker to connect to smart home appliances. Commands like Alexa discover that my devices can be used to locate and pair compatible products, including smart light bulbs and plugs, and control them without resorting to external apps or hubs.
