Amazon Airship Express
Amazon had already patented technologies to allow it to conduct deliveries via drones from airborne warehouses, and now foreign media reports suggest that the online shopping giant may finally be ready to start operating its Airship Express delivery. https://twitter.com/zozi009/status/1112369039978827776 A recently released video shows a massive aircraft, nothing less impressive than the air carrier from Star Wars, except that this aircraft is filled with express deliveries of Amazon buyers and numerous drones to serve the purpose. The video reveals an airborne airship, from which drones are flying in and out, thus creating a busy work scene. The system is highly efficient, requiring a handful of staff members to change the drone batteries at regular intervals. Amazon Drone AirshipWhile Amazon had already tried sending out air couriers a few years back, the issues it faced at that time included a short battery life of drones, barely lasting more than half an hour; having limited delivery within larger cities, and limited remote control distance for operating the drones. But by this time around Amazon may have sorted out the glitches and one may expect it to use the Airship Express option to deliver to more remote areas.
