Sony has introduced four new smartphones at MWC 2019. Xperia 1 is the new top model. The Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus have been released within the middle-class segment; these devices have an exceptional screen ratio of 21:9. In addition, the Japanese manufacturer has announced a new budget phone called the Xperia L3. The Sony Xperia L3 is designed for consumers looking for a good phone under € 200.

New design with a large screen

Sony Xperia L3 replaces the one-year-old L2. The new Sony smartphone has a renewed design with rounded corners and smaller screen edges.

The device is also equipped with a larger display; there is a 5.7-inch screen built-in with an HD + resolution and an 18:9 screen ratio. The display is protected against scratches and bumps by applying Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Sony L3 DesignThe device runs on the Android Oreo operating system and is powered by the MediaTek MT6762 processor with 3GB of RAM. The L3 is equipped with 32 GB storage memory as standard, which can be expanded with a microSD memory card of up to 512 GB. You will not be short of memory with this cheap Sony phone.

A fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button on the side of the budget device. This allows you to unlock the Sony Xperia L3 in no time.

Dual camera with a high ISO range

The right side has room for a double camera, consisting of a 13 standard camera (f / 2.2) and a 2 megapixel (f / 2.4) depth camera, with which you can easily take photos with a blurred background. A flash is also built in. Thanks to an extra high sensitivity range of ISO 3200, you can still capture reasonably detailed and noise-free photos even in poor lighting conditions, such as evening shots or indoor shots.

You make self-portraits with the 8-megapixel camera on the front. This camera has an f / 2.0 lens; it is a wide-angle lens so that you can also capture group selfies. There are also different selfie effects available.

Sony has equipped its new budget phone with a large 3,300 mAh battery. Charging is via USB Type-C, not the older and slower micro USB. NFC is also supported with 5Ghz WiFi. These are functions regularly lacking in the budget segment, which will certainly benefit you in practice. In addition, Xperia Adaptive Charging technology is built in, which contributes to longer battery life.

Where can you buy this Sony phone?

The new budget phone is available immediately. Consumers can buy the Sony Xperia L3 in three colors: silver, black, and gold. There is a choice of a single sim and dual sim variant. This way, you can use two SIM cards in one phone, handy to keep your work and private life separate. The smartphone has a suggested retail price of € 200, including VAT for a single device without a subscription.
