Xiaomi has started teasing a new smartphone which is likely to be the Redmi Y3. The new video teaser of the upcoming Y series hints that the smartphone will have a bigger battery that will last for more than a day in a single charge.

Manu Kumar Jain, MD of Xioami India took to Twitter to tease a new Redmi Y-series smartphone. Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar mentioned the number 32 twice in his tweet, so we expect that Redmi Y3 will sport a 32 MP front camera. Moreover, Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing also mentioned a Redmi phone with 32 MP front cameras on his Weibo account.

Concentrating on the bigger battery, the Redmi Y3 has got its high chances to come with 3080mAh battery that is expected to be a much better version than Y2 that launched last year.

Xiaomi introduced its selfie centric Redmi Y series of smartphones in India back in 2017. The company has launched two phones in the series in the last two years. Now, it looks like the company is planning to bring this year’s Redmi Y series phone- Redmi Y3 in India.

While nothing is official yet, Xiaomi may look to extend new dot notch design and edge-to-edge display panels to its popular Redmi Y series. As far as pricing goes, it’s safe to say it will be priced in the vicinity of Rs 10,000 – just like Redmi Y and Redmi Y2 series.
