Google has many applications for Android, although some are not as well known as others. The tasks of Google are unknown by many and there are those who prefer to continue using the calendar app for the same function as this other application. With the intention of gaining more users, Google has decided to integrate the tasks of Google with Gmail, one of its most used applications, creating an ideal combination to improve the productivity and efficiency of your email application.

With the latest Gmail application, we can add our emails as tasks easily and without having to leave the application. To achieve this, we will have to have the Google Tasks application installed on our phone. It is a new function that we find especially interesting when it comes to improving our productivity at work, for example.

In order to benefit from this new feature, users should have the Gmail application updated to the latest version and have the Google tasks app installed, as we have mentioned before. If you already meet these requirements, to add a task from Gmail is as simple as entering one of the emails sent to us, touching the three points in the upper right corner to open the menu and finally select the option “Add to Tasks“.

However, there is a possibility that Google Tasks will open like a miniature window through the existing paradigm of the user interface of the Gmail add-on, which the company introduced in October 2017. In Android, there is a bar in the part bottom of the screen that lists Available add-ons. Touching will open a panel that occupies half of the screen.

The advantage is that from the task itself we can access the Gmail application directly to the email in question, thus facilitating the search of the content of that email. This is a small novelty that can cause the application of Google tasks to gain popularity because not many users know it and many others prefer to continue using other alternatives, but with this novelty, it can be more than enough reason to give it a try.
