OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, the two new flagships phones from the Chinese company has now been launched: the usual OnePlus 7, and a Pro variant that includes all you would expect from a flagship smartphone.

OnePlus 7 Pro is the usual OnePlus but grows in size and immediately shows its curved edges on the display. The display is a 6.67 “Fluid AMOLED panel that also grows in resolution, in fact, it reaches a 3120 x 1440 pixel with 516 PPI and a 90Hz refresh rate. Below the display, we find a new optical impression sensor that reads an area 30% larger.

Another novelty that immediately catches the eye looking at the display and the absence of notch or drop, on this Pro variant we find in fact a pop-up room with automatic mechanism tested for 300,000 openings, whose sensor positioned inside is from 16 megapixels with f / 1.7 aperture. Such a mechanism may seem fragile, but OnePlus has added a “survival function” that allows the smartphone to “feel” the fall and then retract the camera in time.

Speaking of rooms, on the back we find a triple sensor that includes: a 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 equipped with OIS and EIS , with f / 1.6 aperture and standard 17mm focal length, a 16 megapixel sensor and f / 2.2 aperture and lens ultra-wide-angle lens with 117° angle and a sensor 8 megapixels with telelens that allows for a 3X optical zoom and which is equipped with OIS .

OnePlus 7 Pop-up Camera

The camera software integrates the new Ultra Shot function that allows you to shoot in Super Resolution and HDR+ modes, two modes that allow you to enhance the details and improve the management of lights and shadows. DxOMark gave a total score of 111, of which 110 for photos and 98 for videos.

OnePlus 7 Pro Camera

Go Beyond Speed is the new motto of OnePlus and speed is guaranteed: Snapdragon 855 with 6/8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB UFS 3.0 memories that are expected to be very fast. Power should not be lacking, we then find a liquid cooling system to keep temperatures low and manage consumption better. The battery inside is a good 4000 mAh and can be recharged via the new Warp Charge 3.0 fast-charge system, via the USB 3.0 port.

On the audio side, we talk instead of stereo speakers with three microphones, of which two are placed on the lower side.

For gaming lovers, OnePlus has introduced the Game Mode and Fanatic Mode that allows you to take advantage of all the energy for the game and to record the screen to watch or share our best games. Inside we also find a haptic vibration motor that allows you to manage multiple levels of vibration to not have the slightest delay.

What is missing? Wireless charging on everything and, as announced a few days ago, waterproofing.

OnePlus 7 Preview

And ‘the usual OnePlus device instead of the pro variant, OnePlus 7, in fact, shares the body with the previous OnePlus 6t but brings with it some news.

First of all, of course, the presence of the Snapdragon 855 and the new UFS 3.0 memories in 128 and 256GB of ROM, while the RAM comes in denominations of 6 and 8 GB. Like the Pro variant, we find stereo audio and the new vibration motor with haptic feedback, as well as the new gaming mode and the new optical sensor for fingerprint recognition below the display.

The display, however, is smaller, 6.4 “in FHD+ resolution and with AMOLED technology, at the top, it shows the drop that houses the front 16-megapixel photo sensor with f / 1.7 aperture. A change is also seen in the photographic module on the back that does not show the triple sensor but stops at two: the main one is the 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 equipped with OIS / EIS and f / 1.6 aperture, while the second simply deals with the depth of field calculation, so the 3X optical zoom and the ultra-wide-angle lens like on the Pro variant are missing.

A small difference is also found on the battery which drops to 3700 mAh, a slightly lower value but which could still guarantee better autonomy thanks to a smaller and less resolute display, taking advantage however of the rapid recharge Warp Charge 3.0 and the USB C port 3.0.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

Not only smartphones, but OnePlus has also introduced the new Bullets Wireless 2.0, Bluetooth headphones that are not included in the TWS category.

What changes compared to the previous model? It improves ergonomics and also improves sound quality with cleaner, clearer bass, and treble. There are an APTX HD protocol and Bluetooth 5.0 for better quality and stability. They have a doubled battery life and support the Warp Charge recharge which allows you to have 10 hours of listening with just 10 minutes of charging.

OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 48,999 for (6 GB RAM+ 256 GB storage); Rs 52,999 (8GB+256 GB storage) and Rs 57,999 (12 GB RAM+256 GB), while prices for OnePlus 7 starts at Rs 37,999 for 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version. OnePlus has also announced the Bullets Wireless 2 for Rs 5,990.
