OPPO is the mother brand of the manufacturer BBK Electronics, but within the company, we also find other companies such as Vivo, OnePlus and recently Realme. In the same way that OnePlus struggles to position itself in the premium segment, with Realme we are facing a new brand born initially for India but which is positioning itself as a strong alternative to Xiaomi and its good specifications policy at a very competitive price.

According to the CEO of Realme, the company will arrive in Europe before the end of the year’s first half. What further increases the interest is that it can arouse phones like the Realme 3 Pro or the new Realme X, a device that is included in the middle range for its price but incorporates the powerful Snapdragon 710 processor, an OLED screen without notch on the screen and a generous battery with fast charge. If to this we add its decent price, we can get one of those devices that we did not expect but can become a possibility.

Realme X

With the glass body, slightly curved edges and the rear camera placed in the center, Realme X clearly reminds us of the OnePlus 7 Pro presented yesterday. But in addition, the Realme X is equated to the OnePlus flagship with a fingerprint reader integrated into the screen and a front sliding camera periscope. Two additions that the OnePlus standard model did not add and in this Realme X we have, despite having a significantly lower price.

We are probably back to the debate on the implementation and if Realme has invested enough in quality control as OnePlus, but at the level of specifications it attracts a lot of attention.

The Realme X incorporates a 6.53-inch screen with AMOLED technology and a FullHD+ resolution in a 19.5:9 aspect. It is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 and thanks to the absence of ‘notch’, its screen ratio reaches 85.9% according to GSMArena data and 91.2% according to the brand itself. The top edge measures only 2.2mm while the sides have 1.62mm.

The internal features of Realme X do not have much to envy to other recent mobiles and even processor is above some like the Google Pixel 3a XL, without this having to be reflected in the daily performance.

Snapdragon 710, fast loading and ColorOS 60

We find a Snapdragon 710 along with 4, 6 and 8GB versions of LPDDR4X RAM. At the storage level, we start with 64GB and go up to 128GB, although we do not have microSD to expand the memory.

Regarding the battery, we have 3,765 mAh with fast charge VOOC 3.0. It is a pity that we do not have NFC. This element does not incorporate many terminals of Xiaomi and is still one of the most common criticisms in these terminals that promise a lot but then continue to cut in increasingly relevant details.

Realme X Lite

For the software, the Chinese version of Realme X adds Android 9.0 Pie together with ColorOS 6.0, the Oppo personalization layer. It is to be expected, that as with the Oppo Reno, the Realme X will arrive with this same system to Europe.

In the photographic section, the Realme X adds a wide angle lens to offer a double camera with the main sensor of 48 megapixels, Sony IMX586 and an aperture lens f /1.7. Again we find another device that makes use of the ‘ Pixel Binning ‘ technique to capture more light. The secondary sensor is 5 megapixels and is mainly focused on the portrait mode.

As for the front camera, we find a Sony IMX471 16 megapixel sensor and an aperture f /2.0. Exactly the same sensor used in the OnePlus 7. No wonder this similarity in the components between Realme X and OnePlus 7, since it, after all, belongs to the same parent company.

The Realme X Lite is the same smartphone that was launched as Realme 3 Pro in India. The Realme X Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. The device comes with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The device comes with a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, there is a 25-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. It runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6 out-of-the-box. The handset packs a tall 6.3-inch IPS LCD 2.5D curved display along with full HD+ resolution. It is kept alive by a 4,045mAh battery under the hood.
