Sony unveiled its latest smartphone flagship Xperia 1 Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, a 6.5-inch 4K OLED panel, triple rear cameras, and stereo speakers.
Sony Xperia 1 was announced in February at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It offers the world’s first 4K 6.5 inch OLED display with 21:9 aspect ratios. The taller display carries a resolution of 3840 x 1644 pixels with 643-pixel density per inch. Xperia 1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6 GB RAM and a triple camera module. An 8-megapixel sensor is present on the front side for selfies.
Not only is Xperia 1 Sony’s first flagship with triple back camera setup which includes a 12MP wide-angle + 12MP telephoto + 12MP super wide-angle cameras. This camera also supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). At the same time, the Xperia 1 adopts a new noise reduction algorithm and also incorporates the AF human eye tracking focus and the alpha camera such as 10fps AF/AE continuous shooting.
The smartphone is launched in China at a price tag of 6,299 Yuan. The Sony Xperia 1 will also be available in the U.S. starting July 12th at $950. In China, it will begin its pre-sale from May 21 available in four colors like Fog Gray, Night Black, Snow White, and Xia Zi (Purple).
